If you are looking for a drool worthy appetizer for a crowd, you have come to the right place. Nothing like taking a simple baguette and turning it into a garlicy, herby, doughy bite of pizza goodness. This appetizer is soo easy to make, and I think it was consumed in about 5 minutes. Most of my friends didn't even know it was gluten-free!
For the baguette, I used an Indianapolis local artisan bread company, Native Bread. They produce gluten-free gourmet breads in an allergen free kitchen. None of the top allergens are present, including wheat, dairy, eggs, corn, soy and tree nuts. And let me tell you, it is delicious :)
Hope you enjoy them!
XO Alex
The goods:
1 baguette, I used gluten-free Native Bread
About 20 mini pepperonis, you can add more if you like
1/2 cup marinara sauce of choice
1/2 cup shredded pizza cheese mix
1 tsp garlic salt
Fresh basil
Get to cooking:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Cut the baguette in half, long ways. Then cut those halves in half
Spread marinara sauce over the baguette, top with cheese and then pepperoni
Sprinkle garlic salt and fresh basil on top
Bake for 15 minutes, and then slice into squares
Enjoy :)
